Juniper

Why do I hold back from the groups and communities I most want to belong to?

Your astrologer

Juniper, I want to start with what your chart says about the wanting itself, because I don't think you hold back from indifference. The pull toward belonging is real and it runs deep. The hesitation comes from somewhere older.

Your Chiron sits at 6.9° Cancer in your 11th house, the house of groups, communities, and the people we call our own. Chiron is the wound that becomes a gift, and in the house of belonging it often means that the place you most want to be received is also the place you first learned to brace. It's a tender spot, so part of you protects it by staying at the edge of the room.

Question 1Why do I hold back from the groups and communities I most want to belong to?

Juniper, I want to start with what your chart says about the wanting itself, because I don't think you hold back from indifference. The pull toward belonging is real and it runs deep. The hesitation comes from somewhere older.

Your Chiron sits at 6.9° Cancer in your 11th house, the house of groups, communities, and the people we call our own. Chiron is the wound that becomes a gift, and in the house of belonging it often means that the place you most want to be received is also the place you first learned to brace. It's a tender spot, so part of you protects it by staying at the edge of the room.

Then look at your Sun, which sits in Scorpio in your 4th house, nearly on the IC, conjunct Pluto. This is a private, deep-rooted self. Seven of your ten planets sit below the horizon, so your chart describes a life built inwardly, in small circles, where trust is earned slowly and completely. Scorpio doesn't join, it vets. You may be running an intense background check on every group, asking whether it's safe to be fully seen here, and if the answer isn't clear, you stay half-hidden.

Your Moon in Leo sits in the 12th house, the house of what's hidden. A Leo Moon wants to be witnessed and warmly received, but in the 12th that need goes underground. You may feel it intensely and show very little of it, which means groups never get to meet the person who is actually longing to belong. Your Moon also squares your Sun, an old tension between wanting to be seen and needing to stay guarded.

Your Mercury is unaspected, which can make you feel like you speak a slightly private language. Words come out loud or not at all, so it can seem easier to stay quiet than to risk being misread.

Right now Chiron's wounding is being met with warmth. In the weeks ahead, Sun and Mercury sweep through Scorpio and trine your Chiron (around October 31 and again November 8 and 17), a window when your inner world feels safer to share. Start small and bring one real thing to one person.

Question 2I'm thinking about starting my own healing practice here in Sedona. Are the next two months a good time to begin, or should I wait?

Juniper, from the chart's side, the next two months look more like a season for laying foundations than for a grand opening. Starting is not the problem. What matters is what kind of beginning you make.

Look at what's happening in your 4th house, the house of home, roots, and private foundations. From late October through late November, the Sun, Mercury, and Venus all pass through Scorpio there, right over your natal Sun, Pluto, and Part of Fortune. Mercury meets your Part of Fortune around October 28 and your Pluto around November 23. The Sun conjuncts your Pluto around November 5 and your Part of Fortune around November 11, and Mercury meets your natal Sun around November 20. For a healing practice, this is the right stratum to work in. Your Pluto and Sun are both in Scorpio, in its own domain, which is about as natural a healer's signature as a chart gets. The weeks ahead favor building the room, the offerings, the language, and the quiet confidence behind it.

There's also real support for the work itself. The transiting Sun and Mercury trine your Chiron in the 11th (around October 31, November 8, and November 17), and Chiron is your wounded-healer point. Pluto in Aquarius, in your 6th house of daily work and service, trines your Venus and your Jupiter throughout this period, so the vocation channel is open and steady.

Now the caution. Saturn in Aries sits in your 9th house, squaring your Neptune and Chiron through November. That is a slow, testing pressure on belief, purpose, and the question of whether you're allowed to teach or guide. Expect doubt to arrive on schedule. It's a stress test, and the work it rewards is solid and patient. Neptune's opposition to your Venus runs the whole period too, so watch for vague pricing and fuzzy boundaries. Write them down.

Jupiter in Leo in your 1st house also turns retrograde around December 12, so late November is a natural moment to commit, then refine through the winter.

My suggestion is to treat the next two months as a soft launch. Build, offer a few sessions to people you trust, and set your public opening for when the foundations feel earned. The chart favors that pace for you.

Question 3What does my chart say about the kind of partner I keep being drawn to?

Juniper, your chart is unusually clear about this, and it starts with the single most important fact: Venus, your planet of love, sits at 2.6° Libra, in its own sign, and it is the final dispositor of your whole chart. Every planet ultimately answers to it. So partnership is not a side theme for you. It is the organizing principle, and your taste in people is strong and specific.

Venus is also at the center of your most demanding pattern. It sits opposite Mars at 29.9° Pisces, the anaretic degree, which carries urgency and a lesson being finished in this lifetime. Venus opposite Mars is the magnet and the charge, the pull toward people who ignite you. Because that Mars is in your 8th house of merger and intensity, and tucked in Pisces, you tend to be drawn to partners who feel fated, porous, and consuming. Mars also sits on the fixed star Scheat, so these people often carry an independent streak, someone who goes their own way and can't be managed.

That Venus-Mars opposition is squared by Saturn and Uranus, which sit together in your 5th house of romance, with Uranus out of bounds. So the same pull comes with a double signal: be close and be free, be committed and be unpredictable. You may be drawn to partners who are unavailable, restless, or emotionally cool in some way, because that tension feels like chemistry. A second pattern squares Venus too, with Neptune in the 5th opposite Chiron in the 11th. That adds idealization, where you fall for the potential and the poetry of someone and then meet the wounded human underneath.

Your South Node in Virgo in the 2nd house suggests an old habit of earning love through usefulness, while your North Node in Pisces in the 8th invites you toward deep trust and surrender. The growth edge is letting yourself be met instead of managing the connection.

The gift in all this is Venus trine Jupiter, a generous, lucky, expansive undertone. Right now Neptune is opposing your Venus again, so watch for glamour. Pluto is trining it, which favors honest, transformative bonding.

What your astrologer sees

Your whole chart

Every planet's sign, degree and Placidus house, every aspect, plus stelliums, aspect patterns, dignities and the Moon phase you were born under, computed from the Swiss Ephemeris.

The sky right now

Where Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto stand today, which of your houses each is moving through, and where you live now when it matters.

The next sixty days

Every exact contact the moving planets make to your chart over the coming sixty days, each one dated, so timing questions get real dates.

The years ahead

When the outer planets change sign and turn retrograde or direct, read from the ephemeris through 2029, for questions that reach further out.

No birth time?

Still a true answer

Without a birth time, the astrologer works from what is certain: your planets' signs, the aspects between them, and the sky ahead. Your houses, Rising sign and chart angles are never guessed.

If the Moon changed sign that day, both signs are named. Ask about your Rising and you'll learn where to find your birth time: a long-form birth certificate, a parent or relative, the hospital record.

Your astrologer, answered

What can I ask?

Anything you would bring to an astrologer. People ask about love and the patterns they repeat, work and timing, a decision they are weighing, a hard season, money, moving, or what the next two months hold. Write it in your own words. The astrologer offers no medical, legal or financial advice, and it reads weather rather than fate, so it won't predict specific events.

How long are the answers, and how fast do they come?

Each answer runs about 250 to 400 words, written in warm, plain prose that names the placements and dates behind it. It appears within seconds of asking, written out on screen as you read, so there is nothing to wait for. When it is finished, it is saved in your account beside your question.

Do I have to ask all three questions at once?

No. Your three questions wait in your account. Ask one today and keep the others for whenever you are ready, whether that is tomorrow or next season. Each new answer remembers the earlier questions and answers in your session, so a later follow-up can build on what came before instead of starting over.

What if I don't know my birth time?

You still get a true answer, drawn from what is certain: the signs your planets are in, the aspects between them, and the sky ahead. Your houses, Rising sign and chart angles are never guessed. If the Moon changed sign on your birth day, both signs are named. Ask about your Rising and the astrologer will explain where people find their time: the long-form birth certificate, a parent or relative, or the hospital record.

Is this a subscription?

No. This is a one-time purchase of three questions, with nothing renewing afterward. If you would rather ask regularly, the membership includes fifteen questions a month in your own room, along with daily guidance and a monthly forecast written for your chart. Either way, the answers come from your own birth chart.

Is there a PDF?

No. There is no PDF to download. Each answer is written out on screen and saved in your account beside the question that prompted it, so you can come back and reread it whenever you like. Your questions and answers stay together in one place, easy to find when you want to look back at what your chart said.
