Your Best Place to Live, Written in Your Birth Chart

where your chart wants to live

Your chart was written the moment you were born, and it will never change. What changes is the ground beneath it — in every city, your planets rise and culminate over different angles, and different rooms of your life come into their light. Tell Selene where and when you began, and she'll show you the one place your chart is already pointing toward.

Astrocartography takes the planets fixed at your birth and asks a different question: not when, but where. As you move across the globe, your natal Sun, Moon, and planets cross different angles — the Ascendant, the Midheaven — in every city you could call home. Selene finds where your chart shines brightest and reads it for you below.

Common Asks

What is astrocartography?
Astrocartography is a branch of relocation astrology that maps where your natal planets fall on the four angles — the Ascendant, Midheaven, Descendant, and IC — as you move around the globe. Wherever a planet's line crosses one of these angles, that planet's themes come forward strongly in daily life. It turns your one fixed birth chart into a living map of the whole Earth.
How is this different from my birth chart?
Your birth chart is fixed the moment you're born and describes who you are, wherever you go. Astrocartography takes that same chart and asks a locational question — which planets are strongest in which cities. The chart itself never changes; only which angles your planets are activating changes as you move.
What is relocation astrology?
Relocation astrology is the broader practice of casting a chart as if you'd been born somewhere else, to see how the houses and angles would shift. Astrocartography is the map version of the same idea — instead of testing one city at a time, it draws lines across the whole globe showing where each planet is strongest.
Can astrology really tell me where to live?
No single map should make the decision for you — astrocartography is a lens, not a verdict. What it can do honestly is name which of your planets would be emphasized in a given place, so you walk in with eyes open to both the gifts and the demands of a location. Treat it as one more layer of self-knowledge alongside practical factors like work, cost of living, and community.
Is this free?
Yes — your number-one best-matched US city and a short reading of why it fits your chart are completely free. The full interactive US and world map, the roughly two-thousand-word lifetime reading, the honest cautions for every place, and a keepsake PDF are the paid upgrade, for those who want the whole picture.
Do I need my exact birth time?
Your astrocartography lines depend on the angles, and the angles move roughly one degree every four minutes of birth time — so precision matters more here than in most chart work. Without an exact time, we cast your map for noon, which blurs exactly which lines are closest to you. If you can find your birth certificate or ask a parent, it's worth the five minutes it takes to look it up.
