Privacy Policy

Overview

At Birthchart Horoscopes, your privacy and sense of safety matter. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you explore astrology, numerology, tarot readings, AI-assisted readings, memberships, and other spiritual tools on our website.

By using BirthchartHoroscopes.com, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the site.

• Birth date, birth time, and birth location (used to generate astrology, Chinese astrology, Human Design, and numerology readings)
• Current location (used for location-aware features such as relocation and timing tools)

• Billing details provided to our payment processor (Stripe) when you make a purchase or start a membership
• Recipient details (name, birth data) when you purchase a reading as a gift for someone else

• Messages you send us through contact forms or email

You may provide this information when you:

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit BirthchartHoroscopes.com, we automatically collect certain information about your device and how you interact with the site, such as:

• IP address
• Browser type and version
• Device type and operating system
• Pages viewed and time spent on the site
• Referring/exit pages and click paths
• Approximate geographic location, derived from your IP address on our own server (city level, used to show sunrise and moonrise times for roughly where you are; the lookup uses the free IP Geolocation by DB-IP database and your address is not sent anywhere)
• Advertising cookies and identifiers (see “Advertising & the Meta Pixel” below)

This information is collected through cookies, log files, Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel, and similar technologies to help us understand how the site is being used, improve your experience, and measure our advertising.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for purposes such as:

• Generating your birth chart, numerology insights, tarot draws, and other spiritual readings
• Powering AI-assisted tools (e.g., Personal Astrologer chat) by sending your birth data and questions to our AI provider
• Authenticating your account via magic-link email sign-in
• Processing one-time purchases and managing recurring memberships through Stripe
• Sending you transactional emails (purchase confirmations, reading delivery, account notices, billing reminders)
• Sending you our letters about your chart, new tools and offerings, which you can unsubscribe from at any time (where the law of your country requires it, only with your consent)
• Measuring the performance of our advertising campaigns and reaching people likely to enjoy our readings (see the advertising section below)
• Providing customer support and responding to your inquiries
• Maintaining and improving the performance, security, and usability of the site
• Analyzing aggregate usage patterns to better understand our audience

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do share limited identifiers with advertising partners as described in the next section, and you can opt out of that sharing.

Advertising & the Meta Pixel

We advertise on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram). To measure whether those ads work and to reach people likely to be interested in our readings, we use two Meta technologies:

• The Meta Pixel — a small script on our pages that records events such as viewing a page, viewing a product, or beginning a checkout, and sets the _fbp/_fbc cookies in your browser.
• The Meta Conversions API — when you complete a purchase, our server sends Meta a record of that conversion, which may include a hashed (irreversibly scrambled) version of your email address, your IP address and browser type at checkout, and the order value. Hashing means Meta can match the event to an existing Meta account but cannot read your email address itself.

Meta processes this data under its own privacy policy. This measurement data may be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under some state laws. You can opt out:

• Where our cookie consent banner is shown (EU/UK visitors), declining disables analytics and advertising cookies.
• Any visitor may block these cookies in browser settings, or use a browser that sends the Global Privacy Control signal.
• You can control how Meta uses ad data about you in Meta’s own Ad Preferences.
• Or simply email us at hello@birthcharthoroscopes.com and we will exclude your account’s data from advertising sharing.

AI-Powered Tools and Data Flow

Many of our readings — including Personal Astrologer, The Spiritual Matrix, Solar Return, Human Design, Chinese Astrology, Monthly Forecast, Birth Chart Blueprint, and others — are written with the help of Anthropic’s Claude AI. When you use these tools:

• Your birth data, chart calculations, and any questions you submit are sent securely to Anthropic for the purpose of generating responses.
• Anthropic processes this data under its own privacy policy and does not train its AI models on user content submitted via API by Birthchart Horoscopes.
• We retain your reading content and Personal Astrologer chat history in our database so you can return to it from your dashboard.
• AI-generated readings are for personal reflection and entertainment — they may contain inaccuracies and should not be treated as literal prediction or professional advice.

Memberships and Recurring Billing

If you subscribe to Premium Membership, the following billing data is held and processed via Stripe (we do not store full payment card numbers):

• Stripe customer ID and subscription ID
• Subscription status (trialing, active, past due, canceled)
• Billing period dates and renewal date
• Invoice and charge history

You can review or cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard at /account/. See our Terms of Service for full cancellation and refund policy.

Email List & Communications

Some features (such as receiving your free birth chart or member welcome content) involve joining our email list. By entering your email address, you agree to receive:

• Transactional emails: purchase confirmations, reading delivery links, magic-link sign-in codes, billing notices, and account-related communications. These are essential to providing the service and cannot be unsubscribed from while your account is active.
• Marketing emails: follow-up spiritual insights, new tool announcements, and offerings from Birthchart Horoscopes. You may unsubscribe from these at any time.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any marketing email or by contacting us at hello@birthcharthoroscopes.com.

Third-Party Services

We share limited information with trusted third parties who help us operate the site. Each is contractually bound to handle your data securely under their own published privacy policies:

• Stripe — payment processing, subscription billing, refunds
• Postmark — delivery of all our email: transactional messages (sign-in codes, purchase and reading notices) and our letters, including the one-click unsubscribe they carry
• Anthropic — Claude AI provider for spiritual content generation
• Meta Platforms — advertising measurement and delivery (see “Advertising & the Meta Pixel”)
• Google Ads — advertising measurement and delivery (conversion tracking for our Google campaigns)
• Google Analytics — traffic and usage analytics
• Geoapify — converting the birth and current locations you type into map coordinates
• CloudConvert — chart-wheel image rendering (SVG to PNG conversion)
• Liquid Web — web hosting and infrastructure

These partners only receive the information necessary to provide their services.

Payments & Security

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Birthchart Horoscopes does not see, store, or have access to your full credit card number. Stripe is a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor.

Saved Charts and Reading History

When you create an account, your natal chart calculations and any readings you generate are saved to your dashboard so you can return to them. You can request deletion of any saved chart or your entire account at any time by emailing hello@birthcharthoroscopes.com. We will fulfill the request within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

This website is intended for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted personal information to us, please contact us at hello@birthcharthoroscopes.com so we can promptly remove it.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:

• Access your data

• Request a portable copy of your data
• Request erasure (“right to be forgotten”)
• Object to processing based on legitimate interest
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

Visitors from the EU, UK, and Switzerland are shown a consent banner before any analytics or advertising cookies are set, and may accept or decline. Declining disables those cookies while the site continues to work normally.

CCPA / CPRA (California) Privacy Rights

California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), including the right to:

• Request disclosure of collected personal information
• Request deletion of personal information
• Request correction of inaccurate personal information
• Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information
• Limit the use of sensitive personal information

We do not sell personal information for money. We do share limited identifiers with Meta for advertising measurement, which may qualify as “sharing” under the CPRA. To opt out of this sharing, use any of the methods listed under “Advertising & the Meta Pixel” above, including emailing hello@birthcharthoroscopes.com or enabling the Global Privacy Control signal in your browser.

International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using the site, you consent to these transfers.

Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to:

• Provide the services you request (saved charts, reading history, active subscription)
• Comply with tax, accounting, and legal obligations (typically 7 years for purchase records)
• Support your email subscriptions (unless you unsubscribe)
• Maintain transaction logs for fraud prevention and dispute resolution

Cookies & “Do Not Track”

We use the following cookies:

• Session cookies — keep you logged in and remember your preferences
• Consent cookie (bch_consent) — remembers your accept/decline choice where the consent banner is shown
• Google Analytics cookies (_ga, etc.) — traffic measurement
• Meta Pixel cookies (_fbp, _fbc) — advertising measurement (see the advertising section above)
• Stripe cookies — fraud prevention during checkout

You may disable cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect functionality such as staying signed in. We honor the choices made through our consent banner, and treat the Global Privacy Control browser signal as an opt-out of advertising sharing for visitors in jurisdictions where it applies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Updates will be reflected in the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated via email to active account holders.
