Gate 12 sits in the Throat, the center of expression and manifestation, but it adds something most Throat gates don't have: a built-in pause. Its I Ching hexagram is Standstill, the image of a mountain sitting motionless while weather moves around it, and that stillness is the whole point. Gate 12 will not manufacture words on command.
