Casting it

A relocated chart uses your real birth date and time — converted to the local clock of the new place — with the new latitude and longitude. The planets, being far away, don't care where on Earth you stand: they keep their zodiac positions to the arc-second. But the angles are local. The Ascendant is whatever degree was rising over that horizon at your birth instant, so the whole house wheel turns to fit the new sky.

Reading one is familiar work: planets on the new angles are the headline, the new house placements are the story. A natal 3rd-house Mars that relocates to the 1st stops being a busy pen and becomes a visible temper — same Mars, new room.

When to cast one

Cast a relocated chart when a specific place is actually on the table: a move, a job, a study year, a serious romance with a city. No — it supplements it. The natal chart stays the master document; the relocated chart shows how one particular place re-frames it while you're there.

Do relocated houses really change my life?

They change emphasis. People commonly report the newly angular planets' themes coming forward within months of a move — more career noise under a strong Midheaven planet, more domestic gravity under a strong IC. The chart names the tilt.

What if I don't know my birth time?

Relocation work leans hard on the angles, and the angles need the clock. With an unknown time the relocated houses are guesswork; the planets' signs and aspects remain trustworthy.
