Relocation astrology asks a simple, ancient question: what would my chart look like if I had been born right here? The planets stay exactly where they were, but the houses and angles rebuild themselves around the new horizon.

Your birth moment never changes, so in a relocated chart every planet keeps its exact sign and degree, along with every aspect it makes. What rebuilds is the frame: the Ascendant, the Midheaven, and the twelve houses. All of these depend on the horizon, and the horizon belongs to a place.
Relocate a chart from Detroit to Lisbon, and a natal Sun tucked in the 12th house might stand proudly in the 10th. Nothing about you has changed. What has changed is which rooms of life those same planets occupy from the new vantage point. That's the whole trick, and it's enough to make two cities feel like two different lives.
How it's used
Practitioners relocate charts wherever life is pointing: a job offer, a possible move, a long stay abroad. A relocated chart is read just like a natal one. Planets near the new angles step forward, and the new house emphasis shows what the place will keep asking of you. A city that pulls Saturn onto your Ascendant tends to feel like discipline and consequence; one that lifts Venus to your Midheaven tends to warm your public life.

Does relocating change my zodiac signs?
Never. Your Sun, Moon, natal rising degree, and every planet's sign and aspect are all fixed at birth. A relocated chart changes only the angles and houses: a new frame around the same picture.
Do I have to live somewhere for the relocated chart to apply?
Its themes are strongest while you're physically there, and they deepen the longer you stay. A short trip gives you a taste; living there gives you the full weather.
Is my natal chart still valid after I move?
Completely. Your natal chart remains your constitution wherever you live; the relocated chart describes how a place refracts it. Astrologers read the two together.
